Lezione speciale con Luisa Bezzi

Luisa Bezzi nasce a Roma e finito il liceo salpa per gli USA per vedere da vicino la rivoluzione Hippy e la scena artistica pop e d’avanguardia.
Studia Arte e Moda al Pratt e Fit Institutes di New York e lavora disegnando per Betsey Johnson, la regina del Punk, per poi trasferirsi a San Francisco per la la leggendaria e visionaria azienda Esprit. Luisa passa 10 anni negli USA viaggiando a traverso il Sud America, l’Asia e l’Europa, ovunque Esprit producesse le diverse linee di prodotto. Un’esperienza assolutamente unica e ricca: lavorare viaggiando.
Tornata in Europa ha disegnato per marchi come Armani, Dolce&Gabbana, Malo, Frette, Cerruti, Piazza Sempione e dal 2000 utilizza la sua esperienza a 360°, a cavallo tra la creatività e il commerciale/marketing come Brand Manager da Tod’s, Alexander McQueen, Trussardi ed è stata nominata nel 2010 Creative Design Director nuovamente da Esprit nel 2010.
Ora da imprenditrice dirige il proprio marchio Sans Tabù nato all’inizio del 2013, affiancando altre consulenze come Image and Design consultant per Jaeger London e per un nuovo Concept Store che aprirà a breve a New Delhi.
Dal 2003  è docente presso lo Ied per il dipartimento Tessile ed è ora Membro del Comitato Scientifico dell’Accademia delle Belle Arti dello Ied a Como.

Luisa Bezzi was born in Rome but right after high school  flew to the USA in the late 70s to see up close the hippy revolution and the pop and avant-garde art scene.
She studied Arts and Fashion at the Pratt and FIT institutes in New York and landed designing jobs with Betsey Johnson, the queen of punk, and later with the legendary and visionary brand Esprit moving from New York to San Francisco.
Luisa spent 10 years in the USA traveling across South America, Asia and Europe, wherever Esprit was producing the many different product lines. An amazingly enriching experience: working while traveling.
Coming back to Europe she has designed for Armani, Dolce&Gabbana, Malo, Frette, Cerruti, Piazza Sempione and since 2000 she has been using her 360° experience between the creative an the commercial/marketing  areas acting as Brand Manager and developing start up brands and new product area with Tod’s, Alexander McQueen, Trussardi and was named Creative Design Director back at Esprit in 2010.
She now has established and runs her own brand Sans Tabù and she is Image and Design consultant for Jaeger London and for a new Concept Store opening shortly in New Delhi.
Since 2003 she has been a Faculty Member at Ied Textile Department and is now Scientic Committee Member at the IED Accademia delle Belle Arti in Como.
