ZMJ Call for papers: The Eighties

ZoneModa Journal invites you to present proposal for a monographic issue on the Eighties.

Among the decades of the last century, the Eighties probably represent the most popular period, vividly transgenerational, the most imitated in the nostalgic commemorations of teenagers at the time now grown up as adults, the most extravagant and colorful. Recognizable for style, innovations, creativity, for all the features that have characterized their rich physiognomy, wrongly or rightly the Eighties have earned themselves the title of most excessive and superficial decade of the Twentieth Century. Yet, after a certain time, the Eighties have never been truly and systematically approached: they’re certainly talked about, but no unitary research exists to focus on the cultural offer of this decade.

Key deadlines​:
  • abstract submission: November 30th 2018
  • notification of acceptance/rejection: December 20th 2018 (notice of acceptance might include comments and requests of explanations).
  • full-length paper (6000/7000 words) submission: March 15th 2019.
  • comments of the reviewers will be conveyed together with the editor’s decision (approval with no changes, approval with major/minor changes and/or rejection) : April 15th 2019.
  • authors shall send the reviewed article to the editorial staff by May 15th 2019.
  • ZMJ10 is scheduled to be published in June 2019.

ZMJ Call for papers: Gli anni 80

ZoneModa Journal invita a presentare proposte per un numero monografico dal titolo “Gli anni 80”.

Tra le decadi del secolo scorso, gli anni 80 rappresentano probabilmente il periodo più gettonato, vivacemente transgenerazionale, quello più imitato nelle rievocazioni nostalgiche dei teenager di allora divenuti gli adulti di oggi, quello più stravagante e colorato. Riconoscibili per stile, novità, creatività, per gli aspetti che ne hanno caratterizzato la ricca fisionomia, gli anni 80 si sono guadagnati a torto o a ragione il titolo di decennio più eccessivo e superficiale del Novecento. Eppure, a distanza di tempo, gli anni 80 non sono mai stati affrontati con approccio fedele e sistematico: sono sulla bocca di tutti, ma non esiste studio unitario che metta a fuoco l’offerta culturale di questo decennio.

Date Importanti:

  • La scadenza per la consegna dell’abstract è il 30 novembre 2018.
  • La redazione informerà via e-mail della ricezione dell’abstract e invierà un parere entro il 20 dicembre 2018.
  • L’articolo finale (6000/7000 parole in italiano o inglese) dovrà essere inviato entro il 15 marzo 2019.
  • Entro il 15 aprile 2019 agli autori sarà comunicato il parere dei revisori.
  • Entro il 15 maggio 2019 gli autori dovranno inviare alla redazione gli articoli eventualmente rivisti.
  • La pubblicazione di ZMJ10 è prevista per giugno 2019.​
