Carlotta Zappalà – FAST Zonemoda Team

My name is Carlotta and I’m a first year student of Fashion Studies at the Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna. I have chosen the FAST course for my master’s degree because it is unique. I come from a languages and literature background, but I did want to broaden my horizons, and this course gave me the chance to study marketing, management, fashion and philosophy, all within a contemporary framework. This course has been crafted very well, as all the disciplines that we study converge towards a deeper knowledge of how our world works. The fashion industry is one of the most important and more complex ones, and being able to understand it deeply is very difficult, but I feel as if I can already state that this course will help me achieve all my goals.
I have just joined zonemoda, after a few months of attending the FAST course. Zone Moda will allow me to understand this course even better and to start to “get my hands dirty” and work in the field, and that is such a precious opportunity!
I would recommend my fellow colleagues to join Zone Moda too, or at least to take an interest in it, as it is an innovative and interesting project. In our lectures we study many many things under a theoretical perspective, so it is of the utmost importance to be able to see how everything works in practice too.
Either way, this course has become very quickly dear to me, and I wouldn’t change it for the world, because studying what I do love feels unreal. I will leave you with a quote that I find inspiring:
