ABSTRACT

The Architecture, Photography & Fashion lecture explores ways in which the relationship between space and body has historically been depicted through photographic images. Architectural photography has long been considered theatrical: buildings are said to stage ideas about space and time, to dramatize arguments about form. Indeed, the fashion image proves that there is more behind photography than just beautiful women and glamorous clothes, and that it would be really intriguing to see some very inspiring architecture-wise fashion images incorporated in events celebrating different disciplines, fields and themes including architecture, space or means of transport.
