God Save the Fake

Vittorio Linfante

The concept of fake, in every creative field (from art to design and even fashion), is an open and in- creasingly tricky question. Even if it is categorized with a negative meaning, there are many situations in which the fake and the context in which it is read, performed and used make it, depending on the situation, a market strategy, a communication strategy and also an element of identity for building a specific style.

Vittorio Linfante from the Polytechnic of Milan intends to investigate the concept of fake as product identity, marketing strategy and communicative action, in fashion as well as in other areas of creativity.

The lecture will be introduced by Ines Tolic and held within the course of Spaces of Contemporary Architecture, Master in Fashion Studies, Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna – Rimini Campus
